At the dock, after lunch. sitting on the cedar bench, i noticed, just above the water's surface...

the shimmer
of dragonfly wings...
sunlit lake

Oh, I agree. I have been thinking the same thing, but couldn't find the words, you did it perfectly.

With glass and bleached walls, the only surface surrounding, shimmering, this was surely a much needed escape.

Devika, you are lucky. I have to wait for a long weekend or use some vacation time to go to a lake place and hopefully encounter scenes like this.

Regards.

Thanks, fourwinds...!

For most of the week, I'm surrounded by buildings of glass and steel and brick and mortar, etc. -- shimmering under the summer heat.

Thanks to latter-day urban planners for an occasional downtown plaza with shade trees and flower gardens and plots of green grass. Happily, they draw in a few stray birds and butterflies and squirrels....

Have a great weekend, Robert.
