squirrels are so active in winter...they interest me....In our epic Ramayana, the story is that the three line mark on squirrels are the finger marks of Rama...a mark of affection for helping him build the setu -- the bridge -- to cross the seas to Sita in Ravana's premises --
Devika, thanks for that piece on the squirrel in Ramayana. I think I must have read the Ramayana or about the Ramayana in Literature class back in school... but that was a a long time ago.
Shannon, I don't see a lot of fresh tracks these days. The 2 feet of snow on the ground must be intimidating--or the squirrels have just decided to create tunnels underneath the snow.

Buenos días Carlos.
Te dejo un haiku.
Sigue nevando
diviso blanco el campo
y sigo andando
Besos, amigo
We have squirrels all over our town. This is so real to me.
Read two others on Reader...good ones, Carlos...not sure why you took them out :)
wishes,
devika
Hi Devika--I pressed the "Publish" button by mistake; wasn't ready to put that post out yet.
Okay, Carlos...but the last was too good :)

Thanks, Duna. Isn't fresh snow such a wonder? Also, it could be so deceiving--you don't know what it's covering up.
Abrazos.
