Touched. I wrote something like that long time ago.

Babies abandoned is all too common here. Only difference being, babies are abandoned in garbage dumps, left to die.

Excluding new life: that's very impressive. Strong description of an insensitive society.

I hate those moments when babies are abandoned by irresponsible mothers!

The innocents do not deserve this!

The message is so touching Carlos!

Thanks for the visit in my place!

Good morning! :)

Nuns are some of the kindest "mothers" i have seen...that in no way means i second mothers/parents leaving kids at convent gates,

Good haiku, Carlos....good pointers on family/social systems vis-a-vis education :)

Devika -- I read your August 14 blog on your country's Independence Day. Tagore's words are also mine for the country of my birth.

Thanks.

Friends -- Leo and Gautami, Ramesh and Sandra, Rudi and Robert, and Amity -- thanks for your comments.

Sometimes it's difficult to understand the choices some people make, but I suppose, at the end of the day, it's between them and their god, if not them and their society.

Best wishers.

Twitches and Sue -- appreciate your words.

best wishes.

Evocative. So many choices here, Carlos. What we choose and what we leave and lose when we do.

Devika Jyothi said...

Thank you Carlos, for letting me know :)

Freedom is a big responsibility, that many still don't know how to use -- even those who know, fail falling prey to momentary impulses, myself included.....The societies are only reflections of ourselves, more or less...But let no child be left homeless, or to die...thats why I said convent gate, isn't a bad choice,

wishes,
devika
