The following piece was included in Mainichi Daily News' Haiku in English: Best of 2010. See all the selections (especially, the haiku of good friends Ralf Broeker, Karol Rosiak, Rudi Pfaller, and Marek Kozubek) and comments made by Isamu Hashimoto, judge of Annual Selection 2010.

Thank you, Karol.

You are blessed to have your "old garden" to tell stories about your childhood:

old garden
from tree to tree
my childhood.

Bravo!

All the best,

Carlos

This is lovely, Carlos.
It makes realize that I need to work much harder on my poems.

Thank you, Sandy.

Don't be hard on yourself. I struggle through a number of my pieces myself.

You have a leg up on most of us -- the photos of your haiga are great. And your haiga are variously cheerful, thoughtful, and thought-provoking.

I wish I could visit more often.

Warm regards.
